The Ontario Country Performer and Fan Association (OCPFA) was founded in 2002 to support and promote country music in the province of Ontario.〔http://www.ocpfa.com Official Site〕 The organization was founded on the believe that by bringing artists and fans closer together, the industry could be strengthened. Award shows highlighted this fan-artist relationship.
